A Hawaii woman, Hannah Kobayashi, disappeared after sending her family a cryptic message and missing her connecting flight at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). The 31-year-old, last seen at LAX on Nov. 8, contacted her family the following day. Described as 5 feet 10 inches tall with brown hair and hazel eyes, she has a “knife” tattoo on her forearm and freckles on her face. The LAPD has filed a missing person report, and anyone with information is urged to call.
Kobayashi flew from Maui to New York City with a stop at LAX but never made it to New York. After landing at LAX, she missed her flight and was seen visiting the Grove shopping center, attending a Nike event on Nov. 10. On Nov. 11, she returned to LAX but didn’t board her flight, later sending her family alarming texts about fearing someone was trying to steal her money and identity. Her phone’s last known location was at LAX, but it is now off.
Her family is deeply concerned, noting her responsibility and excitement about attending a New York event. They describe her as someone who had already booked a hotel room and bought tickets for the event.
