Windy, rainy conditions expected for Twin Cities this Wednesday.

MINNEAPOLIS — Gusty winds and rain are forecast for the Twin Cities on Wednesday. Southeasterly winds could reach up to 30 mph, bringing rain to the area after noon. Western Minnesota will see the heaviest rainfall, potentially up to half an inch, while the Twin Cities are expected to receive about a tenth of an inch. Showers will taper off by nightfall, although clouds will linger. Highs will be in the mid-40s.

Calmer, drier conditions are expected to return with high pressure moving in by the end of the week. Thursday will be cloudy, but temperatures will warm into Friday. Breezy, warm weather will continue through the weekend, with more precipitation possible next week as a weather system moves in from the west.
