Utah vs. UCF: Game time, streaming, listening, and viewing guide

Utah vs. UCF Preview

For Utah: The Utes aim to end a seven-game losing streak dating back to a 23-10 defeat to Arizona on Sep. 28. Last week, Utah fell to Iowa State after a late Cyclone touchdown drive. Fifth-string QB Luke Bottari stepped in for injured Isaac Wilson, guiding the Utes to Iowa State’s 35-yard line, but a missed 54-yard field goal sealed their fate.

For UCF: The Knights have dropped seven of their last eight games, with their only win during this stretch being a 56-12 blowout over Arizona on Nov. 2. UCF’s recent losses to Arizona State and West Virginia confirmed a losing season.

What to Watch For:
Utah will rely on Bottari again, as multiple quarterbacks remain sidelined. Last year, Bottari led the Utes to a 23-17 victory over Colorado with two rushing touchdowns and limited passing. A similar run-heavy approach is expected against UCF.

The Knights rank among the Big 12’s best in run defense, allowing just 123.5 rushing yards per game. However, recent opponents BYU and West Virginia managed over 200 yards on the ground. Utah’s Micah Bernard, who needs 78 more yards to hit 1,000 for the season, must have a strong game to give Utah a chance.

Key Player:
RJ Harvey, UCF RB: Harvey, with 1,458 rushing yards and 21 touchdowns, is a dominant force. His performance has powered UCF’s league-leading offense, averaging 454 yards per game despite quarterback challenges.

Bottom Line:
To snap their skid, Utah must contain Harvey, a difficult task for a defense that has been solid but not elite. Bottari’s playmaking and Bernard’s ground game will be critical for the Utes in this season-ending clash.
