Trump praised Chronister’s 32 years of service at the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, highlighting his numerous awards for ensuring community safety. Chronister, a graduate of the FBI National Academy, holds several key leadership roles, including co-chairing the Regional Domestic Security Task Force and serving on the Florida Attorney General’s Statewide Council on Human Trafficking. Trump emphasized that Chronister would partner with Pam Bondi, his attorney general nominee, to strengthen border security and combat the flow of fentanyl and other illegal drugs.
