The NYT Mini is a smaller, quicker version of the newspaper’s traditional crossword puzzle. It usually has between three and five clues per direction on a 5×5 grid, though it can be larger on Saturdays.

Unlike its bigger counterpart, the NYT Mini crossword is free to play on the New York Times website or the NYT Games app. To access past puzzles in the archives, however, you’ll need a NYT Games subscription.

Personally, I disagree that a SHAKE is difficult to drink through a straw. That’s the only way I enjoy shakes! You just need to use a thick enough straw for the right consistency. As for TENET (by the way, Christopher Nolan’s weakest film), I wouldn’t have guessed it either.
