Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty shows no signs of slowing down.
The standout player for the No. 13 Broncos (9-1, 6-0) is gaining momentum in the 2024 Heisman Trophy race, as his yardage and touchdown totals continue to climb. In a dominant 42-21 victory over San Jose State, Jeanty carried the ball 32 times for 159 yards and three touchdowns.
This season, Jeanty has posted 10 games with over 100 rushing yards, six with more than 150, and four with more than 200. With 1,893 rushing yards through 10 games, Jeanty is on track to break Barry Sanders’ NCAA single-season rushing record, set at Oklahoma State in 1988.
Jeanty leads second-place Omarion Hampton of North Carolina by almost 500 yards (Hampton has 1,422 yards). His 26 rushing touchdowns also surpass the next closest runners, who have 21.
