Aggies trail Auburn by two touchdowns after first-half struggles.

At halftime of their penultimate regular-season game, the Texas A&M Aggies face a daunting 21-7 deficit against Auburn. Offensive struggles, including a missed field goal and an interception, have hampered the Aggies, while Auburn thrives under quarterback Payton Thorne, who has 190 passing yards and two touchdowns with just two incompletions.

The Aggies showed flashes of improvement late in the second quarter but couldn’t capitalize on their final drive. Marcel Reed completed 9 of 16 passes for 88 yards and an interception, while Amari Daniels anchored the backfield.

Auburn’s offense, led by Thorne and running back Jarquez Hunter, who contributed nearly 50 rushing yards, maintained consistent pressure.

To mount a comeback, Texas A&M must tighten its defense to disrupt Thorne and avoid costly mistakes on offense in the second half. The Aggies have plenty to fight for as they look to turn the game around.
